So I try, but often still I am a slacker
Its been a couple weeks since my last blog post. I am trying to get in the habit of posting every Wednesday. So I am not perfect yet. If you want a very consistent blog check out Kyle Stevens. His blog is on time every week and generally a better read than these that I have posted.
Soooooo, to catch you up on all that has been going on, just about two weeks ago I played a great show with Ben Ekstedt and the The Side Project. The show was at Columbia City Theater. This was my first time at that theater and I have to say, other than it being pretty far south, we had a great time and their staff was amazing. Its always frustrating when the venue is perfect but not in a prime location. Anyway, had fun listening to Ben and the Side Project cover “Hit Me Baby One More Time” by Britney Spears. They did a great job. The band and I grabbed some dinner with our old bass player, Alec Bye, and my parents. And then headed over to play our spot. We had a great time performing on a bigger stage, and hope to make it onto stages similar sooner than later.
Following this great show, Jessica and I headed to Cave B Estate Winery and the inn at SageCliffe. I
had played their new venue called the Cave several months prior and now we were headed back to stay in one of their cliffehouses. These are faboulus one room spots, all with river views. I took this picture sitting outside on our little patio one morning.
Following this trip to Cave B, we spent a couple days with Jessica’s parents down on Anderson Island. Never been but I would go back. It was alot of fun and very relaxing.
I also must note that although its taking us awhile there is a new song coming called Armor. Stay tuned…
Anyway, it was a little short lived as Jess and I flew home a couple days early to get over to Spokane for a show at the

When we finally got to Spokane we hung out with our good friends Brandon and Sarah and met new friends Kyle Jen. We had a great dinner with them and then cruised over to
The stage is huge… I could get lost just walking around. Anyway, it was a great experience. Jessica and I got to have dinner with the Bryan’s at
the space is great and as it filled with people, I got ready to play. One interesting note, The Bryans who own the winery and they started the Gorge, attended the performance. Its pretty scary to play for people who have heard the best of the best in the business. Vince told me about hearing Stevie Ray Vaughn and Bob Dylan jam… I am not either of those guys… Scary…. Anyway, great performance, great time, phenomenal wine, and great people.
